I began my career in journalism as the video editor for Raycom Media's national newsroom. Here, I scripted and edited more than 100 videos for social media use across their network's hundreds of stations. Further, I created nearly 1,500 news stories in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. The content I created helped drive millions of page and video views for the network and helped guide the path our content needed to take for maximum engagement.

In 2018, I took a new position with WSFA 12 News in Montgomery, AL, to build and manage a new initiative called "Central Alabama Weekend." This lifestyle program was brand new and attempted to highlight various businesses and places of interest throughout the markets which WSFA served.

While I was presiding over the website, it ranked in the top five of more than 50 similar "Weekend" sites nearly every month. I produced all content, including coordinating over 70 on-site video productions. Our website set the bar for what a good "Weekend" site looked like, as our use of data and incredible production value were second-to-none. We competed with markets like Cincinnati, OH, Knoxville, KY, and Savannah, GA, consistently beating their metrics while operating out of the much-smaller Montgomery, AL.

I currently work at the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a senior video producer, creating multi-media content for donors, politicians, social justice advocates, anti-hate organizers, and our general social media viewership.

As a part of SPLC's award-winning, in-house creative team, I help craft the identity and emotion that celebrates the Center's struggles and victories. We collaborate with attorneys, educators, investigators, and fundraisers to produce compelling visual assets that help push the SPLC's multi-pronged mission forward. Recent videos in my portfolio have won awards, garnered stellar traffic numbers, and moved the needle for SPLC's efforts.
